“The conventional Wisdoms are not always right”

Introduction: This website is not the text book. But the articles or subjects are almost always related to human’s health, happiness, aging and longevity. All the subjects are subjected to further discussion and analysis. Most of the materials for the articles usually obtain online from google search engine, free dictionary, and free encyclopedia such as Wikipedia and answers.com and Medline as well medical journals that I have the previlage to obtain them. Because this is the one man operation without commercial financial assistance.  But my goal is a long time goal; that is to make people happier, healthier and living longer. If anyone has the same goal and want to help, always welcome either to write the articles or by the financial assistance.

You will find the new research studies and results and medical news from this section by linking to the other medical journals. This will be up to date as soon as I have reviewed.

Accident:

Definition

  1.
    1. An unexpected and undesirable event, especially one resulting in damage or harm: car accidents on icy roads.
    2. An unforeseen incident: A series of happy accidents led to his promotion.
    3. An instance of involuntary urination or defecation in one's clothing.
  2. Lack of intention; chance: ran into an old friend by accident.
  3. Logic A circumstance or attribute that is not essential to the nature of something.

Accidents are the third leading cause of death for males in the United States, but only the seventh leading cause of death for women. The following tables summarize statistics

Concerning types of accidental death.

Of death for all its member states. Because data-gathering is poor in many countries of the world the precision implied by the decimal places is misleading. It should also be noted that the total deaths due to the top conditions mentioned only amount to 54%. This can be contrasted to the top ten causes listed for the United States, which constitute well over 90% of all causes.

The most common conventional causes of death in industrialized countries are cardiovascular disease, cancer, Alzheimer's Disease and accident (in that order). Alzheimer's victims usually die of pneumonia, a lung condition or a cerebrovascular condition -- so Alzheimer's victims are often declared to die of other causes.

Breakfast:

Definition: Breakfast is the first the meal of the day usually eaten within an hour or two after a person wakes up in the morning. The word derives from the idea of breaking the involuntary fast of sleep.[1]

Traditionally breakfast is a large cooked meal eaten before work and designed to carry people through a large part of the day.

The erosion of the cooked breakfast has been an ongoing trend in the Western world since at least the early 20th century, coinciding with later waking times than when most Westerners had agricultural occupations. Today, hampered by busy morning schedules, many neglect breakfast or skip it entirely. This trend now exists in industrialized nations worldwide, where it is accompanied frequently by replacing local breakfast traditions with modern Western-style foods, often packaged or pre-made.

Civilization

Definition of:  1.An advanced state of intellectual, cultural, and material development in human society, marked by progress in the arts and sciences, the extensive use of record-keeping, including writing, and the appearance of complex political and social institutions.

civilization :  is a kind of human society or culture; specifically, a civilization is usually understood to be a complex society characterized by the practice of agriculture and settlement in cities. Compared with less complex cultures, members of a civilization are organized into a diverse division of labour and an intricate social hierarchy.

The oldest granary yet found, for instance, dates back to 9500 BC and is located in the Jordan Valley

Agriculture was developed at least 10,000 years ago, and it has undergone significant developments over the course of its long life.[citation needed] Evidence points to the Fertile Crescent of the Middle East as the site of the earliest planned sowing and harvesting of plants that had previously been gathered in the wild. Independent development of agriculture occurred in northern and southern China, Africa's Sahel, New Guinea and several regions of the Americas. Agricultural practices such as irrigation, crop rotation, fertilizers, and pesticides were developed long ago but have made great strides in the past century. The Haber-Bosch method for synthesizing ammonium nitrate represented a major breakthrough and allowed crop yields to overcome previous constraints. In the past century agriculture has been characterized by enhanced productivity, the substitution of labor for synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, selective breeding, mechanization, water pollution, and farm subsidies. In recent years there has been a backlash against the external environmental effects of conventional agriculture, resulting in the organic movement.
